It has been more of a development and research week in the studio than a making one.
I have been looking at papers and ideas for the next collection, thinking about how different materials might work together and what kinds of objects they could become.
Work on the Paper Keeper for the Expression collection has paused for a few days while some leather is away being split. The original leather was simply too thick for the way I want the piece to work.
Not every week produces a finished object. Sometimes the useful work is in testing materials, changing direction and giving an idea a little more time.
